Description
The Kenya Plastics Pact (KPP) is a collaborative initiative aimed at creating a circular economy for plastics in Kenya, bringing together businesses, government entities, NGOs, and other stakeholders across the plastics value chain to tackle plastic waste management and pollution issues by eliminating unnecessary plastics, innovating for reusable or recyclable options, and circulating plastics within the economy instead of letting them enter the environment; it’s part of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s global Plastics Pact Network with ambitious targets like eliminating problematic single-use plastics and achieving high recycling rates for plastic packaging.
